Occupational Therapy Services for Families of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
and Neurodivergence

General Occupational Therapy Services

  • OT services for children over age 3; over 10 years of experience in Pediatrics

  • Services are delivered in your home, a park or in the community at a time that is convenient for you

  • Focus on supporting the whole family in addition to the child

  • Flexible scheduling with before or after school hours available, Monday through Friday

  • Expertise in serving medically complex children, many with co-occurring diagnoses

  • Expertise in serving children with ASD, ADHD, genetic and chromosomal deviations, physical and cognitive differences

  • Expertise in supporting children and families with complex feeding challenges, “picky eaters” and “problem feeders”

  • Blue Ridge OT is a direct-pay (no insurance accepted) at this time due to services being delivered in the home and community (not a clinic). Fees are calculated depending on specific services and location but are generally between $150-225 per hour plus possible travel fees.

PLAY Project Autism-Specific Services

  • In-person or telehealth (“TelePLAY”) intervention using the PLAY Project Methods and Techniques

  • PLAY Project is an evidence-based intervention for children with suspected or diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder or other neurodivergence

  • PLAY Project is highly focused on parent/caregiver interactions

  • Services are delivered by Katie Fusco, Occupational Therapist and Certified PLAY Project Consultant in the the child’s home

  • PLAY Project uses parent coaching and video feedback to build upon positive interactions with the child based upon that child’s specific developmental level and unique sensory motor profile
